5 Ways You’re Wasting Money

We all try to save money, though some try harder than others.  ‘Try’ being the key word.  Just because you ‘try’ harder doesn’t really mean you’re saving more.

The Street keys us in on a few of the ways people try to save money but may not really be succeeding.

  • Buying gas at the least expensive station
Make sure you’re not driving too far out of the way, you may be wasting gas.
  • Going to different stores to get sale items
Once again, make sure you’re not driving too far out of the way, you may be wasting gas.
  • Buying the cheapest
Products with the lowest price tend to be the products with the least value.
  • Purchasing items on sale
This is only saving you money if you are going to purchase the item anyway.
  • Buying in bulk
If you don’t use/eat it all before it expires you may not be saving any money.

It’s important to look beyond the initial assumptions and take a critical look at the cost of all that we purchase. When you take the time to do this, you’ll know that the savings you get are real.
